Conditionals

Conditionals

Condition means 'If'. When there is an if, it's conditional. Leaving the classification or definition, i'm going to the point. We've to know the usages. You'll find the question of conditionals wherever you go for English Language exam.If you study any book for conditional, you will get many examples along with structures with different title. Let's start discussion. Concentrate for 5 min only.

IF+Present+Future

If you work hard, you will succeed in life.
If you love me, you will get peace.

Try to memorize at least one example & we shall change the form. After starting with if there is a present form of a verb & in the second section there is a shall/will along with a present form of a verb. These two things WORK , WILL SUCCEED is the main part. when it's work/love, then it's will succeed/will get.

IF+Past+Would Do

If you worked hard, you would succeed in life.
If you loved me, you would get peace.

The word WORK turned in to WORKED & following it WILL turned in to WOULD. Others remain same as it was. Focus on two things WORKED,WOULD SUCCEED.

IF+ Past Perfect Tense+Would + Present Perfect Tense

If you had worked hard, you would have succeeded in life.
If you had loved me, you would have got peace.

In first part, it' past perfect tense (had done) & in the second part, it's present perfect tense (have done) after would. Focus on two things HAD WORKED, WOULD HAVE SUCCEEDED.

Analysis

Repeat the example like this way.
If you study, you will pass in the exam
If you studied, you would pass in the exam
If you had studied, you would have passed in the exam.

If you understand the differences among the sentences, you shall understand the conditionals. If you had concentrated in the context, you would have learned the conditionals.
I believe i have given enough example to get the point. If you want to know further, I shall response as soon as possible. You can also say the opposite without a comm(,).

I shall go if you come.
I should go if you came.
I should have gone if you had come.

There is no complexity understanding the forms. There is another form of conditionals which is not used normally. I'm giving example. It happens basically in prompt action like a chemical reaction.
If you mix Hydrogen & Oxygen, you get Water. Here, the reaction has taken place immediately. That's why the both parts are in present form.

Tense Part-01

Tense When we were at school, we had to memorize the definition of Tense along with it's classification. We had to answer narrative questions on tense. In communicative method, there is no need of memorizing the definition or it's classification. So many books were written for this grammar section. I'm not going to present it like a conventional method. I'll do it on my own way to make it more apparent. Everything, we did/were doing/had done/had been doing/do/are doing/have done/have been doing/will do/will be doing/will have done/will have been doing , is a Tense.
